Description
Join the expert team at Ashhurst Engineering & Construction in their Taupo workshop. You will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel items to precise drawing specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mark, cut, and weld materials to exact specifications within allocated timeframes.
- Ensure 100% accuracy of all pre-cut materials and verify that work meets AS/NZ standards.
- Safely operate power tools, presses, and gantry cranes.
- Assist with site preparation, hazard identification, and the transport of materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area and equipment.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to read technical drawings and perform high-quality welding.
- Must hold a valid NZ Class 1 Car licence.
- Commitment to proactive health and safety, including attending daily toolbox meetings.
- Ability to manage own work schedule while meeting project deadlines.
- Accurate completion of service records and technical documents.
- NZQA 3800 Gantry Crane certification and cConfined Space Gas Testing is advantageous.
- Experience in both workshop fabrication and active construction site work.
