Landscaper / Builder / Hammer Hand

UrbanGreen offer complete landscape and construction packages. This includes landscape design, site preparation, earthworks, retaining walls, decks, fences, lakeside renovations, driveways, and planting. We focus on large scale residential projects/developments, commercial projects, and environmental restoration.

We are looking for a motivated Landscaper and/or Builder (Hammer Hand) to join our team. We work within the Bay of Plenty/Waikato regions. This is ongoing, permanent employment. Reporting to the Site Foreman/ Supervisor you will complete landscaping and hammer hand sites works in a safe and timely manner. You will complete the following tasks-

• Work includes decks, retaining walls, paving and concrete, planting, building outdoor entertainment areas fences, earthworks, water and rock features and other landscaping works.
• Carry out all tasks of a landscaper / builder/ hammer hand as directed by the foreman and/or supervisor.
• Actively participate within the site project team to meet the specific project/works quality and time requirements.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and respect personal, company and client equipment, property, and plant.
• Comply with all health and safety requirement, be responsible for own safety and the safety of others, comply with company safety requirement and advise of any safety concerns to foreman.
• Participate in improvements that enhance product quality within the time envelope and optimize the labour and material resources required.
• Utilise skills, knowledge, and experience to complete the works adequately the first time to eliminate rework requirements.

Our ideal candidate will

• Be able to demonstrate ability to build decks, retaining walls, fences, and landscaping works.
• Have a minimum of 3 years relevant carpentry experience with experience in landscaping including concrete.
• Experience in operating machines eg excavator, dingo
• A trade certificate qualification is preferred.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Have a tidy appearance and be a good team member.
• Have the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
