Avid Build is on the hunt for a legendary lead carpenter to take the reins of our small, tight-knit crew. We do awesome renovations and extensions around Christchurch, and we need someone who can run the cutter when the boss isn't around. We take on the complex stuff — structural alterations, detailed fit-outs, and large-scale renos that need sharp eyes and steady hands. This role’s about owning the site and delivering top-tier results.
Our Ideal candidate:
- 4+ years’ experience in residential construction (Foreman or site lead experience not mandatory, we hire on aptitude over experience)
- Ability to manage a site and schedule
- Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, organised, and solution-focused
- Full driver’s licence and own battery tools
- Joiner-esque finishing abilities.
