Commercial Carpenter – Central Christchurch Tradestaff Christchurch is looking for a skilled and motivated Commercial Carpenter to join our crew on long-term commercial builds in the heart of the city. If you’ve got formwork and framing experience and you’re ready to hit the ground running — this is your opportunity to be part of something solid.
Location: Central Christchurch Start: As soon as you're ready Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role: You'll be working across a range of commercial sites, with an immediate focus on formwork and framing.
- Carry out commercial carpentry tasks to a high standard
- Read plans and work to NZ building codes and safety protocols
- Work independently or alongside a crew to meet project timelines
- Collaborate with other trades on-site
- Solve problems on the go and keep the build moving smoothly
What You’ll Bring:
- Level 4 Certificate in Carpentry (preferred)
- Proven experience on large-scale commercial projects
- Your own reliable tools and transport
- Two work references that back your skills and attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
