Description

We are seeking a dedicated Foreman to oversee the construction of off-site manufactured buildings and manage on-site residential and commercial builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the construction of building components in the factory
  • Manage onsite carpentry and oversee all stages of commercial and residential builds
  • Coordinate and assemble building components into finished structures
  • Oversee piling, decking, and other general labour activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control on-site
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the construction site and lead a team of carpenters and other workers
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards
  • Work with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Overtime when required to meet deadlines

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction with a strong background in leadership
  • Qualified builder with experience in a foreman or supervisory role
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and shop drawings
  • Proven track record of managing teams and coordinating on-site operations
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to undergo police vetting and drug/alcohol testing
  • Skilled in various aspects of carpentry, such as formwork, framing, and finishing
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
  • High-level communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and workers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Two contactable references

About the Role:

  • Hourly wage ranging from $37 to $42
  • Monday to Friday, with additional shifts available on weekends
  • Opportunity to grow into senior leadership roles within the company
