Unfortunately, our foreman is heading overseas, so we’re on the hunt for a new superstar to step into the role.
About Us Kiwibuilt Construction is a family-based company that understands worklife balance. We’re a tight-knit team based in Whangārei, with projects across Northland from time to time.
We specialise in a mix of commercial projects, Ministry of Education work, high-end residential renovations, architectural renovations, and new builds. The work is diverse and dynamic, no two days are the same.
About this role This is a Builder / Leading Hand position, ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career or move into a leadership role.
You’ll be working across a variety of projects, leading a small team, building strong client relationships, and ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
You must be confident working unsupervised and capable of managing jobs on site
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified Carpenter
- Own basic tools
- Ability to lead and work unsupervised with a small team
- LPB Licence (a bonus, not essential)
- Strong problem-solving skills and resilience
- Full driver’s licence
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Ability to pass a drug test and police check
- Ability to provide work-related references

- Honest, reliable, and flexible with a strong work ethic
- Takes pride in delivering quality workmanship with attention to detail
- A team player who can also lead when required
- Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships
