Night Cleaner

Position Overview The purpose of the position is to clean the customer’s site to the required standard, at the frequency specified and within the timeframe set for the task. In performing this role, the Employee shall ensure that they comply with the companies Rule and regulation, OHS environment and Quality policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities  Mopping floors and cleaning up spills  Sweeping and vacuuming  Wiping and dusting  Cleaning windows  Cleaning toilet and toilet facilities  Polishing (by hand or machine)  Decanting of cleaning chemicals  Operation of cleaning equipment  Moving stock and equipment on site  Informing the manager or site supervisor if the stock of consumables is running low  Emptying recycle receptacles, replacing bin liners and disposing of the recyclable waste in the correct location.  Removing litter and debris from external areas of the site.  Recording any communications regarding the client, quality, equipment or after-hours messages (to the Manager or Site Supervisor) in the Communications Register.  Maintaining site security as applicable  Responding to and managing all relevant requirements applicable to the position arising from THE FLOOR CARE COMPANY Ltd  Customer Service

Use the equipment on-site properly, safely and maintain it in good order. This will entail:  Using the equipment within its capabilities and intended uses (i.e., as per the Supervisor or Manager’s instructions)  Treating the equipment with care (e.g., removing power cords from the power outlet by the plug, not the lead)  Visually checking the condition of the equipment before use (e.g., for cord damage or that it has a current test tag that is current)  Promptly prevent the use of faulty or suspected dangerous equipment and inform the Site Supervisor or Manager as soon as possible.  Cleaning equipment after use

Ensure safe working practices are used on site by:  Using and storing the cleaning chemicals in accordance with the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and in the manner demonstrated by the Manager or Site Supervisor  Complying with any site-specific Work Practices relating to emergency procedures or spills clean-up  Promptly report any unsafe working conditions to the Site Supervisor or Area Manager as soon as possible.

Security  Security of client premises will be maintained at all times  Identification to be worn by all staff  Keys and cards will be kept secure at all times

Personal  A high level of personal conduct will be maintained  Ensure well-presented personal appearance at all times  Leave van clean and tidy at end of shift

Successful applicant: Must pass security clearance Confident knowledge in cleaning chemicals and floor cleaning in-depth knowledge in cleaning machines and tools Must have sound knowledge of polishing floors (i.e stripping and relaying of new polish on vinyl floors)

Starting Pay rate $25 an Hour

Job timings; Guaranteed hours per week ; 32 Hours per week Wednesday to Sunday between 10pm to 7am
