Location: Ellerslie, Auckland (with client sites across Auckland) Reporting to: National Sales Manager Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week Employment type: Permanent, full-time
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to repair, maintain, and service commercial and industrial cleaning equipment for international brands including Dulevo, Ghibli, Minuteman, TSM, and others. The role is hands-on and technical, based at our Ellerslie service centre and at customer sites. You will be responsible for diagnostics, preventative maintenance, repairs, pre-delivery inspections, and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities Technical & Service Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment
- Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Perform pre-delivery checks (PDI) and commissioning of new machines
- Attend customer sites to complete service and repair work as required
- Prepare repair assessments and service recommendations
Service Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate service work with customers (on-site and in-house repairs)
- Prepare repair quotes and confirm scope of work with customers
- Order parts required for repairs and service inventory
- Maintain accurate service records, labour reports, and job documentation
- Prepare invoices and service documentation as required
Health, Safety & Quality
- Ensure all work complies with company health and safety policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised service workshop
Team & Business Support
- Work closely with sales and warehouse teams to support service delivery
Skills & Experience Required Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical service technician role
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing commercial or industrial equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Competent with basic computer systems and service reporting (Microsoft Office or similar)
- Full, clean NZ driver license (or ability to obtain)
Qualifications
- NZQA Level 4–6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related trade

- Equivalent overseas qualification and/or relevant work experience (assessment may be required)
