We’re looking for an experienced electrician who’s ready to pass on their knowledge. As an Electrical Tutor, you’ll facilitate Skills-approved courses, support learners to achieve success, and help shape a future-fit workforce.
This is a rewarding opportunity to develop others while continuing to grow professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver and assess courses in block or day-release formats
- Support night classes and ongoing course development
- Provide coaching and academic support to students
- Monitor student progress and report outcomes
- Maintain training centre resources and assist with workshop upkeep
- Role model and promote Health & Safety practices
What Skills and Experience We’re Looking For:
- NZ Electrical Registration (Full Practising Licence, Inspector’s Licence, or equivalent)
- Significant practical experience in the electrical industry
- Experience in adult teaching or training (or willingness to be trained)
- Strong communication and student engagement skills
- Confidence with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience in planning, coaching, or mentoring others is a plus
