Te Kowhiringa | The Opportunity Are you passionate about electrical systems and dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency? Join us at Downer as an Industrial Electrician, where you'll be integral to our commitment to delivering exceptional electrical services in multiple environments, including industrial, mechanical, HVAC, civil works, traffic signal installations, and communications systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance: Conduct the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, focusing on mechanical and HVAC applications, civil works, traffic signal systems, and communications infrastructure in various commercial settings, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues providing efficient solutions to minimize downtime.
- Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a high level of quality in every project.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, subcontractors and team members to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems and installations.
Nga Pukenga Motuhake | Important Skills We are looking for candidates with EWRB registration / assessments along with the following skills and experience:
- Must be a New Zealand registered Electrician and have a current Electricians practising license with the EWRB.
- A current full Class 1 drivers' licence
- Must be able to work alone from time to time and be able to manage your own time.
- Able and willing to complete essential daily safety, work job sheets and timesheets
- Flexibility is essential - as there is an occasional requirement to travel and stay away from home.
- An on-call roster operates, you will be expected to part of the on-call roster.
- A strong attention to detail
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Solid computer skills and exposure to a wide variety of computer applications
The successful candidate will have strong electrical experience with experience in industrial electrics, electronics, and some programming ability an advantage and be able to fault find program issues.
