Electrical Engineering — AI Trainer About The Role

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more technically rigorous AI models — and we need electrical engineers to make it happen. As an AI Trainer, you'll stress-test cutting-edge language models on real engineering challenges, expose their reasoning gaps, and help shape how AI thinks about complex technical problems.

This is a rare opportunity to apply deep domain expertise in a meaningful new way — without leaving your home office.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week (flexible) What You'll Do
  • Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced electrical engineering problems spanning circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and control systems that push AI models to their limits
  • Author Gold-Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for AI learning and evaluation
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated code, circuit diagrams, and mathematical proofs for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Sharpen AI Reasoning — Identify logical flaws and reasoning errors in AI outputs, then provide structured feedback that drives genuine model improvement
  • Document Failure Modes — Systematically record how and where AI models break down on engineering tasks to help research teams harden model performance Who You Are
  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or signal processing
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and precisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented — you catch errors in equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation that others miss
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
  • No prior AI experience required Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with working across multiple engineering sub-disciplines Why Join Us
  • Work on what matters — your expertise directly shapes how next-generation AI understands and reasons about engineering
  • Fully remote and flexible — set your own hours and work on your own schedule
  • Freelance autonomy — no micromanagement, no commute, no rigid 9-to-5
  • Collaborate globally — connect with a diverse team of engineers and AI researchers from around the world
  • Ongoing opportunity — strong contributors are considered for contract extension and future projects
