Description

Electrical Engineering — AI Data Trainer About The Role

We're partnering with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, more reliable AI models — and we need electrical engineers to help get there. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems, from circuit analysis to control systems to signal processing.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your schedule and work as much or as little as fits your life — 10 to 40 hours per week.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do
  • Design Challenging Problems — Craft advanced electrical engineering problems across domains including circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, and embedded systems to stress-test AI reasoning
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step solutions and benchmark responses that AI models use as a gold standard for learning
  • Audit Technical Accuracy — Review AI-generated circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for correctness, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.)
  • Improve AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors and flawed assumptions in AI outputs, then provide structured feedback to sharpen model performance on engineering tasks Who You Are
  • Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in one or more core areas: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, or signal processing
  • Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing
  • Detail-oriented when reviewing mathematical equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
  • No prior AI experience required — your engineering knowledge is what matters Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or technical content review
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (SPICE, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Background in robotics, engineering simulations, or embedded systems Why Join Us
  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside top research labs and engineering teams
  • Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule from anywhere
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, flexibility, and collaboration with a global expert community
  • Gain rare behind-the-scenes exposure to how advanced large language models are trained and evaluated
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
