Description

Deliver high‑quality LV and HV cable jointing across Auckland's electricity network, supporting safe, reliable power for homes, businesses and communities.

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity Join us as a Cable Jointer, working across LV and HV jointing, installations, maintenance and fault work on Auckland's network. Deliver safe and high-quality outcomes every day.

This is a job where no two days look the same. One day you might be jointing on a planned job, the next responding to faults or working alongside other trades on complex network jobs. We offer full-time, permanent work with 40 hours guaranteed weekly, and penalty rates for overtime, and allowances for faults roster participation, nights and occasional aways.

Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills We're looking for a safety‑focused, self‑motivated Cable Jointer with strong technical capability and attention to quality.

You will bring:

  • Relevant Line Mechanic Registration and current Practising Licence
  • National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Cable Jointer - High Voltage) Level 4
  • Sound knowledge of SMEI and Safe Practices for LV Electrical Work
  • Detailed knowledge of LV/HV reticulation systems and HV operating and access permit procedures
  • Experience installing HV primary equipment and associated cabling
  • Strong planning, communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
