Electrical Estimator – Contract Role

Helix Electrical is a fast-growing commercial electrical contractor operating across Auckland and the Bay of Plenty. Due to strong forward workload and multiple new project wins secured for 2026, we’re seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator (Contractor) to support our tendering and pricing pipeline.

About the Role: You will work alongside our Directors and Project Managers providing estimating support across commercial and residential developments.

Key responsibilities include: *Preparing electrical estimates and tender submissions *Completing detailed material take-offs from drawings and specifications *Sending RFQs to suppliers and managing pricing returns *Loading supplier quotes and building pricing schedules *Reviewing scopes, exclusions and clarifications *Assisting with value engineering and alternative pricing options *Supporting tender deadlines and workload peaks

What We’re Looking For: We’re looking for an experienced, self-managed estimator who can hit the ground running.

You will ideally have: *Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator *Strong understanding of NZ electrical standards and commercial construction *Ability to interpret drawings and specifications confidently *High attention to detail and accuracy *Strong communication skills *Ability to manage workload independently *Experience with estimating software (Fergus experience is an advantage)
