HV Electrician/Cable Jointer

As a Cable Jointer, you’ll provide specialist HV and LV jointing services, support network maintenance and projects, and respond to electrical distribution faults for both network and third-party clients.

About the role In this role, you will:

• Deliver field-based technical and electrical service
• Complete HV/LV jointing, installation, maintenance, and repairs
• Work on substations, switchgear, transformers, and distribution assets
• Assist with network faults and undertake repairs
• Support external contracts, including occasional stay-away work

About you Ideally, you will:

• Have proven experience and a strong understanding of network electrical systems
• Be a Registered Electrician with 2+ years’ experience
• Hold qualifications a Distribution Line Mechanic and/or HV Cable Jointer (desirable but not essential)
• Have experience jointing XLPE up to 33kV and paper-lead up to 11kV
• Have strong technical knowledge of transformers, switchgear, and operating systems
• Have live LV jointing experience
• Hold a Class 2 licence (Class 4 desirable but not essential)
