Description
Job Summary Looking to use your qualifications but change your day job? We are seeking fully qualified electricians to join our maintenance team at Tūroa ski area - permanent and seasonal roles available. You'll play a vital role in maintaining facilities; no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to work with the electrical systems of our lifts, advanced snowmaking equipment, and building infrastructure. We're looking for someone who thrives in a challenging environment, loves the outdoors, and is passionate about the snow industry.
Key duties
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks in accordance with relevant legislation.
- Install and maintain ski area infrastructure, plant and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems as needed.
- Assist with ordering parts and supplies, maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Liaise with onsite contractors and ensure operational checks are completed.
Applicants will need...
- A current New Zealand electrical registration and practicing licence.
- A strong commitment to operational excellence and safe working practices.
- A broad maintenance skillset, including some hydraulic and mechanical knowledge.
- The ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
- To be physically fit and able, and comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The ability to work at heights is essential.
- Flexible approach to rosters and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Experience in ski field maintenance or industrial electronics is preferred.
