Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Electrician to join our tight-knit team in Taupo. If you have experience in domestic or commercial electrical work and are looking to gain valuable industrial experience, we are here to support you. You will have guaranteed exposure to control systems, variable speed drives (VSDs), and instrumentation, with experienced team members available to help you get up to speed.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking Electrical activities as prescribed to you.
You will be part of a team of Electricians, Apprentice Electricians (and other general duties staff) to undertake a wide variety of Electrical work per contract requirements - Including Project, Planned and Reactive work.
You'll be responsible for:
- Carrying out associated tasks as required on Industrial Electrical, PLC and SCADA assets as determined by your EICA Team Lead and clients.
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs, and new & existing Automation and Electrical installations to be completed promptly and efficiently.
You will be required to travel within the Taupo district as needed and will be provided with a tool of trade vehicle.
Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills
- Qualified & Registered Electrician, EWRB practising licence.
- Automation Experience and knowledge of Industrial PLCs, SCADA and Instrumentation is an advantage
- Driver's Licence - Class 1 minimum. Class 2 is an advantage
- Computer Literate (ability to complete time and job sheets, and technical literacy to operate static and mobile telemetry devices)
- Ability to plan jobs, organise your teams, and operate and maintain equipment without supervision.
