We are looking for a skilled and reliable Amenity Gardener on a temporary basis with expertise in maintaining and enhancing green spaces. Proficient in the care of annual bedding displays, roses, shrub beds, and general landscape maintenance. Dedicated to delivering high-quality horticultural standards with attention to detail and seasonal requirements.
This role will be based out of our Wairakei Road office covering the Christchurch area. Working on behalf of Christchurch Council, Citycare Property maintains parks and reserves. This role will transform our parks and reserves into havens of natural beauty! While we prioritise eliminating pesky plants, we're also dedicated to enriching the park experience. From enhancing horticultural aesthetics to elevating visitor enjoyment, we're committed to creating vibrant and welcoming spaces for everyone to enjoy. What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga
Completing work on both a proactive, reactive and scheduled basis
Ensuring that parks and reserves are kept free of pest plants and the annual bedding displays
Maintenance of planted areas of native plants; assisting with planting out areas of native plants
Working in our manual or chemical gardening team
Working in the rain gardens, laying stone chips and tidying
What We’re Looking For| Ā Mātou e Rapu Ana:
Current Growsafe Certificate (desirable)
Industry experience
Full Class 1 driver licence
Physical fitness
Strong work ethic and great communication
Friendly and approachable - you may interact with residents in the community!
