Sherlock Landscaping has been in the Nelson Tasman area for over 15 years and has a team of 12 dedicated people. Each person brings their own strength and skills to the team so everyone can learn from each other to enhance their skills. A lot of our business comes directly from referrals so our reputation of providing top class workmanship, excellent communication and service is what sets us apart. We are looking for an experienced full-time landscaper with strong excavation skills to join our team and add value. We undergo a mix of Residential & Commercial landscaping, focusing mainly of the landscaping side and not so much on the ongoing maintenance. This ensures us a good mix of projects and variety for our team, be it full landscaping for a new build, to revamps of an existing landscape and everything in between.
Duties will include: Timber Construction – Decks, fences, steps, planter boxes, retaining etc. Plants – Planting, irrigation. Ground Preparation – Excavation work, site prep, drainage, lawn, garden, paths, rock retaining walls. Concrete work – Paths, edges, pavers, bricks.
Requirements: Full class 1 driver’s license. - (Class 2 would be an advantage) Must have experience operating an excavator. Minimum of 5 years. Proven experience in a landscaping role. Minimum of 1 year. Strong knowledge of hard landscape / excavation practices. Skills in - site preparation, trenching, grading and back filling. Physically fit with a positive attitude. Willing to chip in on the barrow to help out the team when needed. Follow health & safety standards and policies. NZ Residency or a valid Work Visa is essential.
