We’re on the lookout for a reliable Gardener to join a locally owned business based in Morrinsville. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work, and have hands-on experience with general garden maintenance, this could be a great fit for you.
Location: Morrinsville, Waikato Start date: Immediate Pay rate: $26–$30 per hour (weekly pay)
What you’ll be doing:
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Hedge trimming and pruning
- Planting and general garden maintenance
- Weed control and spraying
- Green waste removal
- Chainsaw operation including cutting and clearing
- Working across multiple sites in the wider Morrinsville area
What we’re looking for:
- Full driver’s licence
- Ability to drive and reverse with a trailer
- Previous turf, horticulture, or garden maintenance experience
- Experience with lawn care, pruning, and spraying
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all seasons
- Reliable and able to work a full day (typically 8:00am – 4:00pm, with longer hours in busy periods)
- Drug-free and able to pass pre-employment testing
Desirable (but not essential):
- Horticulture or Landscaping qualification (e.g. WINTEC)
- Growsafe certificate
- Experience in small landscape construction
- Experience with small engines and machinery
- Based in the Matamata-Piako area
