Experienced Gardener

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated contract gardener (minimum 2 years’ experience) to join our small, dedicated team. You’ll be helping to maintain some of the finest private gardens in South Wairarapa, working with people who genuinely care about quality, plant health, and beautiful outdoor spaces.

🌿 What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years professional gardening experience
• Confident and safe use of hedge trimmers
• Strong plant, pest, and disease knowledge
• Horticulture qualification (advantageous but not essential)
• A good level of physical fitness
• Clear and friendly communication skills
• Enthusiastic, reliable, honest work ethic
• Full NZ driver’s licence'

🌱 What the Role Involves

• Working to maintain high end residential gardens across South Wairarapa.
• Working both independently and alongside the team
• Managing time, and delegating tasks when needed
• Maintaining consistently high garden standards
• Communicating future garden needs (e.g., mulching, seasonal tasks)
• Performing weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, and hedge trimming to a high standard
• Identifying pest and disease issues early
• Please note: We maintain gardens — we do not mow lawns
