Junior / Trainee Kitchen Installer

Aone strives to be a leader in the joinery market with a modern approach to creating a vast range of kitchens and interior cabinetry. We design and manufacture bespoke cabinetry for a wide range of private clients and builders, providing a seamless service from concept to completion – and we are busy! We are currently seeking a Junior / Trainee Kitchen Installer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or build a long-term career in the cabinetry and joinery industry. You will begin on the factory floor, learning how our cabinetry is manufactured, how to interpret plans, and how jobs progress from production through to installation. Complementing your factory training, you will work alongside our senior installers to learn best-practice installation methods and gain the practical on-site knowledge required for long-term success. As you develop into an Installer, you will be responsible for installing custom kitchens, wardrobes, and interior joinery, ensuring a high standard of workmanship and professionalism on every job. You will be responsible for:

  • Installing custom cabinetry, kitchens, wardrobes, and interior joinery on site
  • Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and job specifications
  • Representing Aone professionally on site while working with clients, builders, and other trades
  • Working closely with our production team and installers to keep projects on schedule
  • Identifying and resolving on-site installation issues where required
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment and adhering to all Health & Safety requirements
  • Travelling to site and staying away from home when required What you’ll need:
  • A strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn
  • Experience with hand and power tools is preferable, but not essential
  • Good practical skills and problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
  • The ability to interpret plans (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication skills and a professional manner on site
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • A clean, full NZ driver’s licence
  • The right to work in New Zealand You’ll also need to be reliable, well organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, sense of humour, and strong team fit are essential in making Aone a great place to work. What we offer:
  • Full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week, 6:30am start)
  • Supportive, skilled, and professional team environment
  • Clear development pathway from factory training to installation role
  • Ongoing training and mentorship from experienced senior installers
  • Company vehicle provided once you have proven yourself in the role
  • Tools and equipment provided upon progression into installation
  • Competitive remuneration starting at $25–$30 per hour, with growth based on performance How to apply: If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and cover letter to: Cody Bryant – cody@aone.co.nz Or call 022 567 0568 for a confidential chat. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
