This role is based in Whanganui, however, our operation has offices in the USA, UK and Hong Kong and comprises 11 processing sites situated across New Zealand, distributing to over 80 countries.

Job Description
The team at AFFCO Castlecliff is looking for a self-motivated, resourceful, hardworking Trades Assistant to join their ranks.
The successful applicant would be someone who is a solid all-rounder, which would be willing and committed to carrying out a wide variety of repairs and maintenance both internally/externally of the plant. This self-motivated individually would be taking the initiative in both the planning and processing of jobs unsupervised.
Their key responsibilities will include general grounds maintenance, painting, repair work and the greasing of machinery.
To be effective within this role the applicant would have the following traits:
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Enthusiastic about problem solving.
- Strong work ethic.
- Effective communicator and a team player.
- Flexibility regarding varying starting and finishing hours.
- Be reliable, proactive and friendly.
