Are you mechanically minded and physically fit? We're looking for a Quarry labourer to join our client's hardworking team and help keep operations running smoothly and safely.
Our client is one of Southland's leading aggregate exporters. They supply premium aggregate for all projects from swimming pools, landscape and garden features to flooring and countertops. All their aggregate products are sourced in New Zealand and are 100% natural where they ship both nationally and globally.
Whilst initially these positions will be full time temporary positions, there is a pathway to full time permanent roles and career progression for the right candidates in this company.
What You'll Be Doing:
- General labouring duties around the quarry site
- Bagging and sealing of product
- Assisting with maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment
- Operating a forklift to transport materials safely and efficiently
- Supporting quarry operations at various heights (e.g., on conveyors, crushers, or elevated platforms)
- Keeping the site clean, safe, and organised
- Always following strict health and safety procedures
What You'll Need:
- Ideally a current and valid Forklift Licence (F Endorsement preferred)
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
- A good level of physical fitness and a solid work ethic
- Reliable transport and ideally a full driver's licence
