On-Call Labourers – Devanning Containers
Are you based in Levin and looking for flexible, on-call casual work? We’re seeking reliable, hard-working labourers to assist with devanning shipping containers. This is ideal for those wanting extra income. What is Devanning? Devanning involves unloading goods from shipping containers when they arrive at warehouses or distribution centres. The work can be physically demanding and requires attention to detail and safe manual handling practices. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Unloading cartons, stock, or materials from shipping containers
- Sorting and stacking products onto pallets
- Shrink-wrapping and preparing goods for storage or dispatch
- General warehouse labouring duties
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting
- Reliable and available at short notice (on-call basis)
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Forklift licence is a bonus (but not essential)
