EQUIP Recruitment are seeking reliable and physically capable labouring staff to support a variety of construction, civil and industrial sites around the Wellington Region.
These roles are hands-on and suit people who enjoy active work, can follow instructions and take health and safety seriously. Work may be outdoors and in changing conditions depending on site requirements.
What You'll Be Doing:
General Labouring Duties
- Assisting tradespeople and site supervisors
- Manual handling of tools, materials, and equipment
- Site setup and pack-down
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving materials safely around site
- Digging, lifting, carrying and general physical tasks
Site Support & Safety
- Keeping worksites clean, tidy and hazard-free
- Removing rubbish and debris
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Correct use of PPE and reporting hazards
- Working safely around plant, machinery and other workers
Additional Tasks May Include
- Basic use of hand and power tools (experience dependent)
- Traffic management assistance (if qualified)
- Assisting with concrete prep, demolition or landscaping
- Working to instructions and daily productivity expectations
What We're Looking For:
- Reliable transport
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements including drug screening
- Site Safe certification is highly desirable
- Previous labouring or site experience preferred but not essential
