Description
This role involves all aspects of concrete placement and finishing across residential and/or civil projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical ability, a high standard of workmanship, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. A full driver’s license and verifiable work references are mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Place, level, and finish concrete using hand tools and power tools
Prepare sites, base preparation and boxing.
Lay and tie reinforcing mesh to specifications.
Screed, trowel, edge, and texture concrete surfaces to required finishes.
Apply curing and sealing compounds as required.
Operate concrete-related equipment.
Ensures correct levels, falls, and dimensions are achieved
Maintain a clean and safe worksite in accordance with H&S regulations.
Work effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other trades.
Identify and report issues with materials, equipment, or site conditions.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a concrete placer/finisher.
Strong knowledge of finishing techniques.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physically fit and capable of manual labour in varying weather conditions.
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
License & Requirements:
Full, valid driver’s license (mandatory)
Reliable transport to yard.
Ability to pass site inductions and safety requirements.
References from previous employers required.
Personal Attributes:
Strong work ethic and punctuality.
Ability to communicate.
