Facilities Manager - Auckland

We're looking for a confident and highly organised professional to oversee facilities operations across a portfolio of education assets within a large-scale public-private partnership (PPP) environment. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operations, compliance, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

About the Role

Reporting to the Contract Manager / Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of facilities services across multiple school sites. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, Ministry representatives, and key stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing reactive maintenance, planned works, grounds, cleaning, and building compliance
• Overseeing service requests, defects, incidents, and reporting
• Conducting monthly site audits and supporting remedial works
• Managing contractor performance and ensuring compliance requirements are met
• Reviewing invoices, budgets, pass-through costs, and approvals
• Supporting health & safety and operational compliance across all sites
• Building strong relationships with schools, contractors, and government stakeholders
• Leading and supporting Facilities Coordinators and operational teams

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven facilities or asset management experience
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills
• Sound understanding of compliance, health & safety, and building operations
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets and approvals
• The ability to prioritise, problem solve, and make sound decisions under pressure

Experience working within education, government, or PPP environments will be highly regarded.
