Description

We are looking for new Scaffolders in both Taupō & Kawerau.

About the role: This role involves working as part of an experienced scaffolding crew delivering safe, compliant scaffolding solutions across industrial and commercial sites in Taupō and Kawerau. You’ll be hands-on on site, following established procedures, supporting Leading Hands, and contributing to efficient, high-quality project delivery.

About you: You’re a reliable, safety-focused scaffolder who takes pride in your work and works well as part of a team. You understand the importance of doing the basics well, showing up consistently, and following site requirements.

You will bring:

  • A scaffolding qualification (or be working towards one)
  • Current Certificate of Competency (CoC)
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • A reliable, trustworthy work ethic
  • The ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with others

This role offers the opportunity to build on your existing skills, gain exposure to a variety of industrial and commercial projects, and, for the right person, progress toward senior or Leading Hand roles over time.

About the company: My client, Midland Scaffolding & Rigging, is a well-established scaffolding, rigging, and shrinkwrapping provider operating across the central North Island. They work across a range of industrial, commercial, and shutdown environments and are recognised for their strong safety culture and dependable delivery.

Midland invests in its people and supports ongoing skill development, making it a solid long-term opportunity for those wanting to grow in the industry.

Skills that are an advantage (but not essential):

  • Experience in shrinkwrapping and/or rigging
  • Willingness to upskill into dual-trained roles

What’s on offer:

  • Consistent, ongoing work
  • Exposure to varied projects and environments
  • Opportunities for training and skill development
  • Supportive crews and experienced leadership
  • Competitive pay based on experience

Applications are welcome from local candidates and candidates who already hold the legal right to work in New Zealand. The successful candidate will need to pass a pre-employment drug test.
