Operations Manager

We're looking for an Operations Manager who can balance leadership, technical know-how, and day-to-day coordination in a busy mechanical and hydraulic service environment.

You'll be the key link between our workshop, service, and admin teams — keeping operations flowing, customers happy, and our standards high.

What You'll Do

• Lead, motivate, and support a skilled team across workshop and field operations.
• Juggle multiple priorities — people, jobs, and resources — while keeping projects on track.
• Apply your mechanical, engineering and hydraulic knowledge to solve practical challenges.
• Use job management and inventory systems to keep scheduling, stock, and reporting on point.
• Coordinate logistics, purchasing, and supplier relationships for smooth service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and customer experience.

What You'll Bring

• Proven ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Strong leadership and communication skills — you get the best out of a team.
• Mechanical, engineering or hydraulic experience — hands-on understanding of how things work.
• Confident with software systems (ERP, job management, or similar).
• Adaptable and resourceful, able to think on your feet and find smart solutions.
• Strong logistics and organisational skills, with solid administrative and reporting habits.
• Full NZ driver's licence (HT or forklift licence a bonus).
