Scaffold Team Lead
We are looking for an experienced Scaffold Team Lead to join our Bay of Plenty team to work on sites around the Region! The Scaffold Team Lead will be responsible for the organising of daily work for a small crew of 5, erecting and dismantling scaffolding to provide work platforms on industrial sites for temporary structures. This is a hands on role requiring to be “on tools” when needed. You will have prior experience Supervising scaffolding crews (or be an experienced leading hand looking for the next step) and have extensive scaffolding knowledge, proven application of health and safety and the ability to work in a team environment and manage demanding priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise small crew of 5, liaising with Clients around work priorities and coordinating daily activities working to schedules.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding to provide work platforms on building, industrial and other sites, for temporary structures such as stages and catwalks, and for the purpose of painting, repairing, seating, disguising building facades, etc
- Check the construction requirements from visually inspecting the access requirement location, select materials and set ground levels, fit together steel pipes, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds, lift and position sections of scaffolding and bolt pipes together to build up scaffolding; place planks over horizontal bars to create platforms, check levels in scaffolding structures, use prefabricated scaffolding when available, and dismantle scaffolding at the completion of a job
- Ensure correct tagging of scaffolding is in place.
- All scaffold components used, and structures built are to comply with current Australian & New Zealand Standard AS/NZC 1576 and all other relevant standard as applicable
