CNC Operator We’re looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join a busy joinery manufacturer, producing high-quality components for residential and commercial projects.
Location: Addington, Christchurch Start date: Immediate Pay rate: $32 – $40 per hour (depending on experience), paid weekly
What you’ll be doing:
- Setting up and operating CNC machinery to accurately produce high-quality joinery components
- Interpreting detailed drawings and plans to ensure precise manufacturing outcomes
- Cutting, shaping, and machining materials for cabinetry and custom joinery projects
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to maintain efficiency and accuracy
- Carrying out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines and workflow targets
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and a clean, safe workshop environment
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator (ideally in joinery or cabinetry)
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
