Concreter - Tasman

About the role:

• Stellar Recruitment currently have multiple Concrete Worker positions available in the Tasman region.
• Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
• Your ordinary hours of work will be 40 hours per week normally worked between 6:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to work the occasional Saturday.
• $28-$32 per hour

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience
• You must be able to work within the time frame of the project and be a reliable member of the team
• National certificate in construction in any fields (concrete, carpentry, interiors & plastering, painting & decorating) will be considered as an advantage
• Knowing, understanding, communicating, and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Floating, panning, finishing and burnishing concrete using specialist machinery including laser screeds
• Pouring, spreading, and levelling concrete
• Demonstrate understanding of concrete mix requirements, and various concrete slab designs
• Install fixtures and cut lines into concrete
• Concrete laying and finishing, including having skills in different finishing and curing techniques
• May be required to do form work and boxing as required

Daily commuting between regions and projects will not be expected but should projects within a particular region cease, relocation to an alternative region may be required, in which case notice will be given, and relocation policies will apply.
