Scaffolders required all throughout the Southland region!
OneStaff is currently seeking experienced and reliable Scaffolders to join our team for multiple full-time permanent roles across New Zealand.
We are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals with a strong work ethic, good time management skills, and a commitment to workplace health and safety. Flexibility to travel and work across multiple regions throughout New Zealand is essential, as you may be required to assist on projects nationwide.???????
The role involves the erection and dismantling of temporary metal scaffolding systems to provide safe work platforms and structures on residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Determining job requirements by planning and arranging scaffolding
- Selecting and preparing materials required for each job
- Loading and unloading scaffolding materials and equipment at worksites
- Erecting scaffold structures by lifting and positioning scaffold sections and securing pipes and fittings together
- Establishing work platforms and implementing safety measures
- Inspecting scaffolding for safety and stability and carrying out repairs where required
- Installing guard rails and safety netting
- Maintaining clean work areas, equipment, and tools
- Following workplace health and safety procedures and requirements at all times
- Carrying out other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Pay and Hours
- Pay rate between $29.66 and $34.00 per hour depending on experience
- Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
- Full-time permanent employment
Skills and Experience Required
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of 2.5 years’ relevant scaffolding experience, OR
- A relevant scaffolding qualification or equivalent
Successful applicants will also demonstrate:
- Good practical scaffolding skills and industry knowledge
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good communication and time management skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work at various locations throughout New Zealand
- Willingness to learn and further develop within the industry
Location
Work may be required across multiple regions throughout New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, Canterbury, West Coast, Otago, and Southland.

- New Zealand Citizens or Residents, OR
- Hold a valid New Zealand work visa
