RV & Caravan Repair Technician

About the role...

We are seeking a skilled and experienced RV & Caravan Repair Technician to join our team at Rugged Kiwi Caravans in Frankton, Hamilton. This full-time role is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality repair and maintenance services for a range of recreational vehicles and caravans.

What you'll be doing...

• Diagnose and repair a variety of issues with RVs and caravans, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural components
• Install caravan parts and accessories to meet customer requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients throughout the repair process
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety protocols
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used

Key Skills: cabinetry making, electrical, 12v/240v, plumbing, sealant work, grooming, repairs, modifications, power tools, hand tools, painting, appliance installs.

What we're looking for

• Formal qualification in automotive or RV/caravan repair, or equivalent industry experience
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of RV and caravan systems
• Excellent problem-solving and practical skills to identify and resolve caravan & RV issues
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, and basic powered equipment
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A valid driver's licence (Forklift license a bonus)
