About the Role

We’re on the lookout for a steady, people‑focused Branch Manager who likes being close to the work. If you’re the kind of person who enjoys planning the day with the team, stepping into the yard to see what’s going out, and making sure customers get what they were promised, this role will suit you.

This isn’t a desk‑only job. It’s hands‑on leadership, simple systems done well, and keeping things moving for our customers and crew. (This role is part of our on‑call roster — about one week in every five.)

What You'll Do

Organising the day with the team: toolbox talks, job allocation, and regular check‑ins.

Keeping the fleet ready to go: quick visual checks, arranging servicing/inspections, and escalating issues to our Maintenance Planner.

Looking after customers: being a reliable point of contact and helping retain local accounts.

Keeping the numbers tidy: working to targets and keeping an eye on everyday costs.

Keeping contracts, dockets, and records accurate.

Completing routine reporting, taking part in audits, and helping with project deliveries when needed.

Communicate with a range of departments and other Branch Managers.

What We're Looking For

Experience in a leadership or operations role

A clear communicator who stays calm and practical under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Comfortable with systems (Baseplan or similar) and Microsoft Office.

A safety‑first approach and a willingness to pitch in where needed.

Clean full NZ driver's licence.
