Office Administrator – Home Shield Painting Part-time · Contract · Work from home or our local office · $30/hr + GST · Start immediately

About us Home Shield is a small, trusted local painting business with over 30 years of experience. We’re proud Master Painter members and certified Resene Eco-Decorators, known for high-quality work at a fair price. Our friendly team takes real pride in what we do—and we’re looking for someone just as dedicated to join us behind the scenes.

About the role We’re after a highly organised, people-focused Office Administrator to help keep our business running smoothly. You’ll be the friendly voice our clients and contractors hear first, helping manage enquiries, quotes, invoices, and day-to-day operations.

Key tasks include: Liaising with painters, sub-contractors, and customers Managing accounts payable and receivable, plus wages Preparing and sending quotes and invoices Following up on customer satisfaction and feedback Keeping our CRM up to date Supporting general office and scheduling tasks as needed Help produce Standard Operating Systems

Who you are You’ll be someone who thrives on organisation, efficiency, and clear communication. You’re comfortable taking charge and have experience running or coordinating a small team. English is your first language, and you have a confident, professional phone manner.

You’ll bring: Strong administrative and organisational skills Experience in a small business setting Great communication and attention to detail Tech comfort (Excel, email, accounts, CRM systems) A proactive, can-do attitude

The details Hours: 6–8 hours per week (flexible) Pay: $30/hour + GST (contract role) Extras: $50/month phone allowance Location: Work remotely or from home Start: Immediate (training provided)
