We are currently seeking experienced operators wanting to build their career in the Sandblasting and Industrial Painting trade. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established business known for quality workmanship with a range of high profile clients and build upon your career. About the role:
You will be applying specialist blasting techniques to clean and prepare metal surfaces of machinery and assets to allow for painting and protective coating application. For the right candidate you will also be working with the application of protective coatings alongside industrial painting of the attached machinery and assets.
You will also assist with daily labor and forklift operations in the warehouse to support inventory management.
Skills and Experience:
To be the ideal candidate for this role you will posses the following:
- Previous experience working with industrial painting and sandblasting equipment.
- Physically fit with an awareness and understanding of Health and Safety at work.
- Have experience operating a forklift.
- Be mechanically minded as you will be working with machinery attached to large industrial equipment.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work both within a team and independently where required.
- Must be able to pass a pre employment drug screen.
- Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
Ideally you will also bring:
- Previous experience with the preparation and coating of industrial machinery and equipment.
- OSH and F endorsement for forklift operation.
Hours of work:
This role requires availability Monday to Friday between 7.00am to 7.00pm based on business requirements where you will generally be working 40 hours per week with the opportunity for additional hours. Occasional Saturday work will also be required.
