Our client is seeking a foreman who will be accountable for managing staff materials and equipment on each project, ensuring that projects are managed to a safe, successful and profitable conclusion and to the customers satisfaction.
You will be accountable for ensuring that project budgets are met or bettered with an emphasis on hours, materials, equipment hire and subcontractor costs. Pay rate negotiable $35-$45ph, depending on your experience. Must be flexible with work days and hours.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: forward planning, project assessments up to 1000 hours, ensuring the job site is left in a clean and tidy condition at the end of each day
- People Management: ensure the presentation of operatives, equipment and vehicles meet company standards, confident in disciplining tradespeople in accordance with company policies, conducting toolbox meetings
- Customer Service: provide clear and transparent communication to internal and external customers, interact professionally, liaise with customers to complete all projects in accordance with job file requirements
- Administration: ensure vans are always stocked with standard equipment, undertake stock-take of vans on a monthly basis, ensure job bags are maintained
- Safety, Environment & Quality: display an overall commitment t health & safety, ensuring first aid kits are maintained, inspect the safety bags of all tradespeople working, participate in company continuous improvement activities
Qualifications & Experience:
- Trade Certificate in Painting
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver's License
- EWP - Elevated Work Platform ticket
- Working at Heights
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Proven experience in similar role/environment
- Reasonable level of numeracy and literacy skills

- Have at least 5 years experience in a similar role
