Plumbquick is a family owned and operated, nationwide plumbing business with over 25 years of industry experience. We are currently expanding our Auckland emergency response team and are looking for a reliable, customer-focused Emergency Services Technician to join us.
This role is designed for a qualified plumber/gasfitter who prefers concentrated after-hours work and wants to maximise income while protecting their weekday time. The core working hours for this role are from 5:00pm Friday through to 7:00am Monday, including statutory and public holidays. Outside of these hours, weekdays are your own time.
As an Emergency Services Technician, you will be responding to urgent residential and commercial plumbing and gas call-outs during after-hours periods, where call-out rates and emergency pricing apply.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Emergency plumbing repairs
- Burst pipes and urgent leak repairs
- Blocked drains and emergency drain clearing
- Hot water cylinder failures and replacements
- Emergency gas repairs and servicing
- Fault finding and rapid diagnostics
- Making safe and restoring services for customers

- Registered with PGDB NZ
- Qualified Plumber and/or Gasfitter (Tradesman or Certifying preferred)
- Ability to use apps and job management software in the field
- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Ability to work independently and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Team player who takes pride in their work and goes the extra mile
