Trade Assist is looking for an experienced CCTV Operators to join one of New Zealand's leading specialists within the Three Waters sector. Working across Auckland, this role plays a key part in supporting water network maintenance, investigations, and reticulation projects across wastewater and stormwater infrastructure. This is a permanent opportunity with long-term career stability, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working both independently and within a team, and being out in the field. You'll be working with specialist CCTV equipment to investigate network issues, support maintenance activities, and provide accurate data to support project delivery.
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out CCTV inspections using tractor and push camera systems
- Investigating faults and supporting network troubleshooting activities
- Preparing and updating drainage plans, maps, and inspection records
- Interpreting wastewater and stormwater network plans
- Supporting crews with blockage investigations and network maintenance activities
- Ensuring accurate reporting and data collection across inspections
What we need from you:
- Previous experience in CCTV inspections, drainage investigations, or asset investigations preferred
- Understanding of the NZ Pipe Inspection Manual
- Experience using CCTV equipment including tractor and push camera systems
- Knowledge of stormwater and wastewater infrastructure activities
- Willingness to participate in an on-call and standby roster
- Physically fit and comfortable working in field-based environments
- Strong health & safety mindset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full Class 1 licence and ability to drive manual vehicles - essential
Bonus points if you have:
- STMS Practicing qualification
- Experience within Three Waters infrastructure projects
- Additional drainage or network maintenance experience
