Plumber / Drainlayer – Christchurch BGIS | Full-Time | Permanent

BGIS is a global facilities management company supporting essential sites across government and commercial sectors. We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber with Drainlaying experience to join our growing team in Christchurch.

This is a hands-on role working across multiple client sites, delivering both reactive and planned maintenance with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out plumbing and drainlaying maintenance across commercial and government sites
• Diagnosing and fixing blocked drains, sewer and stormwater issues
• Installing and repairing pipework, fixtures, valves, and drainage systems
• Responding to emergency call-outs when required
• Completing compliance checks and basic reporting
• Providing estimates for small plumbing and drainage works
• Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Plumber with Drainlayer registration (or proven drainlaying experience)
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in commercial or maintenance plumbing
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
• Current NZ Driver Licence
• Commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards

Nice to Have

• Experience in facilities management or multi-site environments
• Estimating or small works project experience
• Familiarity with digital job management or reporting systems
