Description
Roofer – Skilled & Reliable Lower Hutt / Wellington Region
We are looking for an experienced Roofer to join our team, working across residential and light commercial projects. Work includes re-roofs, maintenance, repairs, and new installs. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety.
What You’ll Bring
- Roofing experience in full new and replacement roofing (common metal roofing profiles)
- Ability to carry out repairs including leaks, flashings, penetrations, valleys, and guttering (metal & UPVC)
- Competent with roof flashings (install & integration with cladding)
- Comprehensive knowledge of roofing products and systems (roofing iron brands, fasteners, underlays, sealants, fixings, etc.)
- Understanding of correct fixing patterns, fasteners, and coastal/high-wind requirements
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised
- Full NZ driver’s licence
- Own basic tools (specialist tools supplied)
- Confident working at heights and committed to H&S best practice
- LBP Roofing is an advantage but not essential.
Skills Advantageous (Not Essential)
- Butynol / torch-on membranes
- Roof coatings, prep, and spraying
- Flashing fabrication (workshop or site) and custom installs
- Use of moisture meters / leak diagnostics
- Scaffolding and edge protection (mobile & tube-and-clip)
- EWP license (boom/scissor)
- Ability to read plans and detail drawings
- Experience quoting or supervising crews
