The Security Advisor is responsible for assessing client security requirements and providing professional advice on appropriate security strategies, systems, and procedures. The role involves analysing security risks, recommending effective security solutions, and designing security specifications to protect people, property, information, and assets. The Security Advisor works closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure security measures comply with organisational, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Hours of Work: 30 to 40 per week Pay Rate: $28 per hour (negotiable as per experience)
Duties Include:
- Conduct security risk assessments and identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.
- Advise clients on security requirements, policies, and best practices.
- Recommend suitable physical, electronic, and procedural security solutions.
- Design and develop security specifications for alarm systems, CCTV, access control, surveillance, and monitoring systems.
- Prepare security reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Evaluate existing security systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Coordinate implementation and maintenance of security measures and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security legislation, standards, and licensing requirements.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders regarding security matters.
- Monitor emerging security risks, technologies, and industry trends.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and clients on security procedures and protocols.
- Assist in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions where required.
Ideally you shall have:
- Strong knowledge of security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and security procedures.
- Experience in security consulting, advisory services, or security system design.
- Strong work ethics
- Experience working with government, or private sector security environments is advantageous.
- Atleast 1 -2 years of Customer service experience would be essential
- Clean Criminal Record
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client requirements.
