About Us

One New Zealand stadium is opening in April 2026, and we are thrilled to be recruiting for a number of key roles across the business that will play a critical part in ensuring the successful launch and long-term success of the stadium.

Venues Otautahi own the Christchurch Town Hall and Wolfbrook Arena and manage Apollo Projects Stadium, Hagley Oval, the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, and One New Zealand Stadium. Venues Otautahi venues attract and host a wide range of over 500 events in Christchurch and manage a diverse and iconic portfolio of community venues.

Venues Otautahi's purpose is to strategically manage and leverage the venues to deliver positive social, cultural, environmental and economic impact to the region. These iconic city venues play a valued role to the Christchurch way of life and the economic prosperity and social wellbeing of the region.

About the Role

One New Zealand Stadium hosts events of all sizes, from intimate gatherings to crowds of thousands. Operating in multiple event modes, we rely on our Venue Security Operators to keep operations safe and seamless before, during, and after every event - 24/7.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for monitoring building systems and CCTV, managing access, responding to incidents, and providing exceptional service and communication to staff, contractors, and visitors.

With technology and innovation at the heart of our venue, we’re looking for someone with a proactive, open approach to tech and a commitment to safety.

While this role primarily supports One New Zealand Stadium, you may occasionally be required to assist at Christchurch Town Hall and Wolfbrook Arena.

This role supports 24-hour coverage, Monday to Sunday.

Work Schedule

x3 Full-time: 8-hour shifts / 40hrs per week x3 Part-time: 8-hour shifts / 16hrs per week across 2 days per week

Rotating shift pattern

Shift times

Morning: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Afternoon: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Night: 10:00 pm to 6:30 am

What You’ll Do

• Monitor surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
• Observe for signs of disorder and investigate disturbances
• Monitor access to Venues Otautahi venues for clients, contractors, staff, and deliveries
• Provide the highest level of customer service to staff, contractors and external parties entering Venues Otautahi venues
• Effectively communicate, ensuring accurate information and timely updates
• Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Support fire evacuation procedures when required

Full training and venues tour will be provided.
