Signwriting Designer

Total Access Ltd is seeking an experienced Signwriting Designer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys design, print production, and working with signage from concept through to installation preparation.

About the Role

Reporting to the Signage Manager and working closely with the wider operations team, you will be responsible for designing, printing, and preparing signage while ensuring tools, machinery, and materials are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Design signage in consultation with the Signage Writer/Manager
• Print and prepare signage using industry-standard equipment
• Operate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery and tools
• Remove existing graphics and prepare surfaces for new applications
• Clean and prepare vehicles, machinery, and equipment (including water blasting where required)
• Estimate time and materials for jobs and maintain accurate records
• Order materials and consumables and manage stock levels
• Identify, log, and report worksite hazards
• Work on-site and off-site, supporting other branches when required
• Communicate effectively with management regarding job requirements and purchases

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in graphic design and printing/signwriting
• Strong knowledge of printing processes, materials, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong verbal communication and sound decision-making
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good business judgement and professional confidence

• Ability to safely operate tools and machinery
• Apply finishes to a variety of surfaces
• Coordinate workflow across multiple projects
• Follow and give clear written and verbal instructions
• Maintain positive working relationships with a diverse team

Special Requirements

• Physically capable of lifting up to 20kg unassisted
• Comfortable bending, standing, climbing, and working on your feet
• Safe handling of hazardous materials
• Commitment to high standards of personal and professional conduct
