Pool Valet Technician / Service Technician

Paramount Pools & Swimart is a leading retailer and servicing business in the NZ pool and spa industry. We are seeking a part-time or full-time valet technician to support our Manukau & Orakei branches.

As a pool valet you will be required to visit our clients properties and clean/maintain their pool.

Previous experience in pool valeting is preferred. ie. a working knowledge of vacuuming and chemically balancing pools. An understanding of the operation of pumps and filters (priming pumps, backwashing filters, when and why to open/close valves etc) is also required as you will be working on sites independently.

A basic level of IT competency is required as you will be provided with an IPad and water testing unit (Spin Disc). All job details are entered through the Apps. This must be done daily and accurately for each job.

While training will be provided on our products and software, a background knowledge of pools is preferred.

To be successful in the role you will have;

• Pool knowledge & experience
• An ability to work full time hours Monday-Friday
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and time management skills
• Computer literacy
• Well presented, friendly & professional in dealings with clients
• Have a current FULL drivers licence - Do not apply if you do not currently hold a full licence.
• Self motivated, an ability to troubleshoot and think on your feet be able to work autonomously.
• A positive ‘can do’, collaborative attitude.

A competitive rate plus vehicle, tablet and mobile phone will be provided to the successful candidate. Applicants with previous pool equipment servicing experience will be highly regarded with pay level to suit that experience.
