What to expect

Our Spotswood location is the home base for the team, with a well-equipped service area and engineering workshop. Most jobs are completed off-site at marinas around the picturesque Melbourne suburbs.

As marine specialists working across all types of hardware and applications, our technicians are comfortable with problem solving and unfamiliar situations. We work on a range of jobs from service to complete re-powers, covering engine, transmission and running gear on commercial vessels and pleasure craft in the 20-80ft range.

Customer experience is a top priority, so the team is always well-presented and prepared to communicate progress to customers and hand off jobs at completion. Each technician takes ownership of their jobs, while working as a team to share knowledge and ensure high quality results.

What you’ll do

  • Test and troubleshoot high-end marine engines and electrical systems
  • Perform service and repair on engines, transmissions and running gear
  • Complete professional documentation of service records and repairs
  • Guide and mentor apprentices

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of experience as a marine technician / mechanic, or diesel mechanic in the marine industry.
  • Trade qualification as a marine technician, diesel mechanic or marine engineer. This position is open to 4th year apprentices and above.
  • Strong technical skill set, including knowledge of best practices and experience with diagnostics.
  • Problem solving skills and curiosity to learn new systems
  • A detail oriented, quality mindset and proactive work ethic
  • Exemplary communication skills to work with the team and customers
  • Current Australian driver license
  • Tools of the trade
