What You’ll Be Doing

This is a site‑based, service‑focused HVAC role located in Waiuku (South Auckland / Franklin), working within a large industrial environment.  You’ll support HVAC systems across plant, buildings, and infrastructure, carrying out preventative maintenance, fault‑finding, repairs, and breakdown response on equipment such as chillers, air handling units, and industrial ventilation systems.

The environment can be physically demanding at times, but it offers variety, technical depth, and work you won’t find in standard commercial roles.  You’ll be joining an established team of 6 experienced HVAC technicians, working together on site to keep systems running safely and reliably.  Health & safety is a key focus, and all work is carried out in line with strict site and company safety procedures.

What the Role Involves

• HVAC servicing, maintenance, and fault‑finding in an industrial setting
• Planned maintenance and breakdown response
• Mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs
• Supporting upgrades, plant replacements, and commissioning works
• Working closely with an experienced on‑site service team
• Completing job documentation and reporting in Simpro
• Participating in the after‑hours on‑call roster

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or 3+ years’ practical HVAC experience
• Current EWRB registration and practising licence as an Electrical Service Technician (EST)
• Full driver’s licence
• Refrigerant Fillers Licence or willingness to obtain
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment
• A solid understanding of Health & Safety and safe work practices
