Drain Unblocking Specialist

Taylor Plumbing is one of New Zealand's fastest growing plumbing and drainage companies, operating across Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch. Our drainage division handles everything from emergency unblocking and CCTV inspections through to full drain repairs and relays. We're busy, we're growing, and we need a specialist who knows drains inside out.

About the Role

We need a gun drain technician who lives and breathes drainage work. You'll be the go to person for unblocking, CCTV, hydro jetting, and drain diagnostics across Auckland. Fast response, clean work, happy clients - that's the job.

This is a high volume, fast paced role. Our reactive drain jobs need to be on site within hours, so speed and reliability are non negotiable.

What You'll Do

• Respond to emergency and same day drain unblocking callouts across Auckland
• Operate hydro jetting, electric eel, and drain rodding equipment
• Conduct CCTV drain inspections and provide accurate fault reports
• Diagnose root cause - not just clear the blockage, find out why it happened
• Carry out minor drain repairs, patch lining, and root cutting
• Lead and mentor junior drainage staff on site
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and coordinators
• Identify upsell opportunities (relay, relining, repairs, preventive maintenance)

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in drainage and drain unblocking (3+ years minimum)
• NZ Registered Drainlayer preferred (or working toward registration)
• Experience with hydro jetting and CCTV equipment
• Full NZ driver's licence - clean
• Fast, reliable, and comfortable with a busy reactive workload
• Professional with clients - you represent the brand on every job
• Physically fit and comfortable working in confined/outdoor environments
